Day 0: Request for transfer to London approved. Officially began stressing out about all the crap that's been accumulating in the basement for the past 5 years (why, exactly, are we keeping all those childrens' clothes that don't fit? And what was I thinking when I ordered those 12 foot long boards? Oh yes, now I remember. I had some wild fantasy about building something with them). And about the baseboard that I never put back in the dining room. And about the 10 years worth of files in the office. And about the fact that our American food processor and mixer will soon become awkward and not terribly attractive paperweights. Maybe will just dig large hole and pitch everything in it. OK, calm down. Can always buy new mixer.

Or possibly not, as don't know what salary will be, or even really how to figure out how much it needs to be. Hmm. Price of gas should be a good benchmark. So gas was $2.28/gallon here today, and petrol is £0.89/litre in the UK. The exchange rate is $1.95/£. And it's 3.79 litres/gallon. Lessee... .89 times 3.79, carry the two...Holy Shit! That's like $6.60 a gallon! Gaaaak! Happy place, HAPPY PLACE!!!!!

Off to bed now, where murderous £'s will haunt my dreams, trying to douse me with pricey petrol and set me alight.

£...£...£ AAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
